6pm-7.45pm: Leave home for concert, departure time depending on how far away you live.
7.55pm: After buying copy of Eric's new C.D., take seat in auditorium.
8pm-8.15pm: Concert starts. Actual starting times will vary according to level of whisky bottle backstage.
8.25pm: After interminable introduction, Eric will actually sing his first song. He will be accompanied by 1-4 musicians, depending on their availability and his own financial position at the time.
9.10pm (approximate): Depending very much on the length of his introductions, the first half of the concert will end anywhere between 5-12 songs later. Everybody will wander hesitantly off stage, and you can thankfully head straight for the bar.
9.25pm: After buying Eric Bogle T-shirt, once again take your seat for the second half.
9.30pm: Second half of the concert starts. The second half always starts on time, as the boys have usually drunk all the back-stage whisky during the interval, and are keen to get the concert finished before the pubs close.
10.30pm-11.00pm: Concert finishes, the actual finishing time depending mainly on the strength of Eric's bladder and how many encores you were foolish enough to call for.
11.05pm: You leave concert, picking up Eric Bogle songbook on the way out.
11.15pm-1.00am: You arrive home, the arrival time depending of course on how far away you live.
1.15am: You finally get to sleep.
1.20am: Nightmares start.
